Matthew Marder
Writer / co-director
Matthew (Matt) Marder grew up in rural Pennsylvania, always wanting to become a director and writer. His imagination flourished in the forests and farms of PA. After receiving his undergrad degree in English and Film from Princeton University with minors in Classics and Creative Writing, Matthew attended American Film Institute (AFI) where he earned an MFA in Screenwriting. Since then, Matthew has traveled the world and received scholarships and grants to write. In L.A., he’s been directing and writing his own movies while producing other films under his company, 91 Redrams Productions.
Adam Chase Cohen
Co-Director
Adam was inspired very early on by the magic of visual storytelling. He studied Cognitive Science at Washington University in St. Louis while honing his crafts for the screen and the stage. Since moving to L.A., Adam has supervised productions big and small, solving problems for Netflix executives, directors, and every crew member in between. He translates creative needs into efficient solutions while leading teams with kindness and respect. Adam’s shorts have screened in festivals across the country, and he has directed commercial work for Samsung and more, but his passion is in features. Adam writes in his off-time, with a sci-fi pilot and another Western in development. He also plays piano and thinks about film pacing very musically.
Alanna Fox
LEAD ACTOR
Alanna Fox was already performing in musicals at age six, and after graduating from New York University with a degree in Musical Theatre, she moved to Los Angeles, which she now calls home. Most recently, Alanna acted in the final season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and Netflix’s Family Switch. Previous work includes episodes of Grand Hotel, Black-ish, and General Hospital on ABC, among many others. Alanna also starred in Matt Marder’s previous feature film, Agent of Death.
Taylor Nichols
LEAD ACTOR
Taylor Nichols has been working in the entertainment industry for almost 30 years. This has afforded him the opportunity to bridge generations by working closely with the likes of Angela Lansbury, Shelley Winters, James Garner and Charlton Heston to currently starring in Hulu’s Emmy nominated Pen15 and HBO’s Perry Mason. Taylor is an award winning short filmmaker having directed Two Heterosexual Men… and Last Train and is an experienced producer with feature credits including The Next Step and Case 219. But Mr. Nichols is best known as an actor beginning his career with the Academy Award nominated Metropolitan, Barcelona and Boiler Room to Godzilla, Chappaquiddick and 1BR. TV credits include series regular roles on HBO’s Mind of the Married Man, Man of the People and many recurring roles on shows such as Friday Night Lights, Criminal Minds and The Last Tycoon. He has over one hundred guest starring roles and is an experienced theater actor and director having worked at the Geffen Theater in Los Angeles and Playwrights Horizon in NYC. Taylor is a graduate of the University of Michigan and UCLA. He is currently on faculty at UCLA in the school of Theater, Film and Television.
Sydney K.
Line Producer
Sydney is a producer and editor from Los Angeles with over 10 years of production experience. She creates documentaries and reality tv projects with Get Me Out Productions and scripted projects independently.
She is most noted for her producing and editing work on the first season of the Men of West Hollywood reality television show, distributed in the US on Crackle and internationally in over 6 countries. In addition to Gold Mine, she is also known for this team’s other feature film, Agent of Death, a sci-fi action thriller about shapeshifting female spies. Sydney is currently producing and editing an international true crime documentary for a Spanish branch of Paramount.
Julia Elaine Walker

Julia's background in life and work is a diverse and varied one. She grew up in the artistic and eclectic communities of Tulsa, Oklahoma and moved to New York to study at NYU Tisch. She found her calling as a producer when she realized that her passion was to foster the creativity of her peers. With over 10 years of award-winning producing experience, she is now based in Los Angeles. Some of her global producing credits include shows for Netflix and HBO Max, commercials for brands such as Google and Expedia, music videos for artists such as Mariah Carey and most importantly, she has produced a plethora of films including His Only Son which opened #3 in the box office nationwide in over 2,000 theaters.
KC Mussman
Key Makeup Artist
KC Mussman is a Hollywood makeup designer and makeup department head in film and television and is the owner of the first female owned makeup effects studio in Hollywood California- "Nocturnal Designz". She was the runner up and fan favorite on Season 12 of Faceoff and on SyFy’s Game Face.
KC's work has a high level of detail and she strives to create a polished finish that is not only aesthetically pleasing but fantastical and inspiring in her art.
Dan Light

Dan Light is an LA-based music composer and producer creating works primarily for Film and TV. His music has appeared on nearly every major network and streaming service, including CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, TBS, Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV+, Disney+, Epix, and more.
Originally from Connecticut, Dan relocated to Los Angeles after graduating from Wesleyan University. Dan formerly worked with composer Jim Dooley out of Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions on projects such as Netflix's A Series of Unfortunate Events and TNT's The Last Ship. In 2020, Dan contributed music to Leo Birenberg and Christophe Beck's score to Epix's docu-series, Helter Skelter. Currently, Dan works with composer Zach Robinson and has contributed music to his scores for Netflix's Wrestlers, Peacock's Twisted Metal, Roku's Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, and more.
